The unique methodology for the “Trendbook” forecasts includes both longitudinal (historical) and latitudinal (vertical) analysis. The forecasts are based on historical data from various governmental organizations such as the World Bank, U.S. Census, and EuroStat but additionally include vertical analysis as changes in GDP, inflation, and imports/exports in one country impact those changes in other countries. For example, if the manufacturing of imported goods to the United States from China moves to other countries, such as Vietnam, how does that impact GDP changes in these countries?
